Battle in Duba Yurt 1st January 2000

Assault on the Invaders column

In the district of Vedeno, in the village of Duba-Yurt, Allah humiliated the Russian Army, as they have never been humiliated before. The forces and their motorised units advanced from everywhere under the cover of heavy artillery and missiles. But, Allah favoured the Mujahideen - under the leadership of Abu-Waleed al-Ansaari - by making them able to repel the attack. They destroyed six motorised units and captured two, as well as some of the reserves and a platform for Milan missiles. The Mujahideen killed more than 60 Russian soldiers and injured scores, so the Russians quickly abandoned the battlefield.
